What becomes possible for you and your life if you were to experience thriving more of the time?
This question is an exercise, and creating answers to it turns on our diffuse thinking, our "success mechanism," and moves us in the direction of experiencing it.
So really - what becomes possible if you were to experience thriving more of the time?
Imagine living in the short or long-term future with a stronger feeling of thriving in life. Imagine it now, let yourself feel it now.
The question isn’t esoteric, mystical, or theoretical. The question is practice, and it has the power to break us into a new space of what’s possible in our lives.
Just for a few moments, find somewhere inside yourself a feeling of thriving, a feeling of fulfillment. Maybe it’s a memory of the feeling, or maybe it’s getting in touch with something fulfilling about life right now.
Then take that feeling into the future a little bit. What does your health look like? What does your job look like? What do your weekends look like? What does your family look like?
What are you doing more of the time? What are you doing less of the time?
What becomes possible for the people in your life if you were to experience more fulfillment more of the time? What becomes possible for your kids, your partner, your colleagues, or your workplace? What becomes possible for your communities?
What becomes possible for your larger life purpose if you were more fulfilled more of the time?
We’ve each got answers to these questions, and every single one of them is beautiful, creative, and inspiring. Your answers are beautiful, creative, and inspiring.
This week I am communicating with the leaders of my school to invite them to this conversation. What becomes possible when more of our teachers experience more fulfillment more of the time? What becomes possible for our students? What becomes possible for our faculty culture? What becomes possible for our community and our society?
Our visions and ideas send out shockwaves of inspiration, love, and creativity when we share them with others. Share your visions and ideas with others generously. Find a friend, a partner, a coach, or a teacher - Who will hold your vision for you and remind you of it when you forget. Who will support you in achieving it. Who will love you through it.
And find someone else whose vision you’d love to support.
I’ve got an idea of what such a world looks like, and I’d love to hear yours.
Thanks so much for reading. ❤️
